Literary Adventures
Introduction to Literary Adventures Miss Korhn's family loved LOVED traveling the United States and visiting places of historic importance when she was growing up. Many of those sites were homes of authors! Sadly, the childhood photos from those literary adventures were taken on "old time" 35mm film and are still in Ohio. However, as Miss Korhn visits new author's homes, she'll post the pictures here for you to view! What is your teacher's ultimate literary adventure, you might ask? HARRY POTTER WORLD. Site: Green Gables National Historic Site

When eleven-year-old Anne Shirley arrives at Green Gables with nothing but a carpetbag and an overactive imagination, she knows that she has found her home. But first she must convince the Cuthberts to let her stay, even though she isn’t the boy they’d hoped for. The loquacious Anne quickly finds her way into their hearts, as she has with generations of readers, and her charming, ingenious adventures in Avonlea, filled with colorful characters and tender escapades, linger forever in our memories.
